Description

My first real fantasy photo manipulation. Began with the image of the castle cut and pasted to the background image. Cheated and used the Flood plug-in for the water and reflections, though I did have to carefully erase to get the water to follow the land contours on the far bank. Cut and pasted in the original horse image. I worked with Smudge on the water around her legs to make it appear to flow around them as she moved. Obviously added in the wings, mane and tail as well as the birds in the background. Lots of smudging to the horse, lighting effects, filters, cloning, etc. to make everything blend. My biggest issue was choosing to use a horse image that didn't have tack sharp focus and trying to cut corners by not using the pen tool to extract it. Both errors I won't make again!
